Good To Me

This past month has been a pretty hard one for me. Life has taken some unexpected and, truthfully, dissappointing changes. I am trying my best to deal with these changes and not let them affect my life in a negative way. When catostrophic things happen, the only thing you can control is your reaction. So, though it is hard and my emotions run away with me sometimes, I am saying right here and right now, that I choose to trust God. I choose to live life even more to fullest. I choose to grow closer to my family. I choose to look and find the best in things.

So today, I feel like this worship song was brought to my remembrance, by God, to help me out: Enjoy!

Artist: Eric Myers
Album: Life Of Worship
Title: Good To Me

I cry out for Your hand of mercy to heal me
I am weak, and I need Your love to free me
Oh Lord, my rock
My strength in weakness
Come rescue me, oh Lord

You are my hope
Your promise never fails me
And my desire is to follow You forever
For You are good
For You are good
For You are good to me
For You are good
For You are good
For You are good to me

And let me just also state, for the record, that God IS so good to me. My life has been filled to overflowing with blessings. My family is wonderful and I am incredibly thankful for everyone in my life and my current situation in life. Sometimes I survey my life, and know that the only reason things are as good as they are is because of God's grace. He loves me so much even though I've done nothing to deserve it.
I love you God!

That is one of my favorite worship songs. In fact, I needed to get that song in my head. Thanks! Hang in there!

Hi!! I'm Laney from Momyblogr's.

I feel a little funny answering this question here because of the worship song that you posted :-) but here goes!

No, "it" doesn't hurt too bad. In my opinion, legs hury much worse so I don't do them anymore. It does take some getting used to. Because of what it is that's being waxed, lol, and because of what's left.

Also, the lady that I go to is Brazilian and a Christian so it doesn't feel weird, I trust her.

Nice to "meet" you! :-)

((hugs!)) and you are so right about only being able to control one thing, and that is you.

that's why I love the Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

hang in there!

I like what you said about controlling your reaction, I say all the time..."the battle you face today may not be your choice, but the outcome is" Many times in life we find ourselves smack dap in the middle of a battle caused by situations & circumstances that seem unfair or that we had no control over. but the one thing we have a say about is the outcome those things will have on us short term and long term. And I can tell that you know where to turn and who has the help & answers you need! Keep running your race, God has great things for you & the family! love you guys, crc

Many times life seems like the quip, "Someone said, 'hang in there things could be worse,' so I hung in there and sure enough, things got worse."
May the joys rise to new highs as the valleys get lower!

sarahgrace,

How can I sound un-condesending? I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!! You are, even in the time of difficulty saying, regardless, I will praise GOD! That is your Jericho! That is awesome.

(I always turn on Mary Mary and the song 'Praise Him - Shackles' when I feel down.)

You can email me, too, if you just need an ear to listen or e-shoulder to cry on. Be encouraged!!
