I Finished!
Well, I actually finished about two weeks ago... but here it is. I finally got around to showing you: my figure drawing of my little sister. Now, you people don't get to see the whole thing, sorry, but not really...Can't do that to my sis. Here is the photo her face:
And here is my rendition. I altered a few things just a bit, like trying to upturn the corner of her mouth to make her look like she was smiling...but this is it! (Dare I ask) what do you think? I have a degree in art, so critiques are welcome...

WOW - thats awesome Sarah! You are truly talented. How long does it take to draw something like that, even just the "head" portion? Great Job!
I think it's awesome! You should be really proud of it. I use to be into art when I was in high school but after that I never picked it up. It's great you still have an outlet like that and make time to pursue it :0)
Wow, I can't draw stick people well so you are awesome lol
Great job! You really capture her personality in the details of her facial features! Has she seen it yet? What does she think?
Wow! I think it's very good! ... I haven't sketched anything in forever. You may have inspired me though most of my artistic attempts have been frustrated lately. (Am I the only one that gets artist's block, like writer's block?)
Did you do that in charcoal or pencil?
That is incredible!!!! I wish I had drawing talent like that!
It looks great! I like the upturned mouth, but my favorite part is her eyes.
Great work! You have such talent! You captured her perfectly. I have no artistic ability, but my kids do. How can that be? Keep it up girl!
great job! I'm no art critic, but the picture is absolutely beautiful!
Very nice. I think you really captured her.
P- this particular one probably took me about four hours for just the head portion.
Danielle- yes, Ariel has seen it and she is really excited about it. It is actually her wedding gift to Jer.
Tee-yeah, I actually get "artists block" too. So when I get inspired I try to take it and run with it. (and try not to be too intimidated by all the other artists and good ideas out there.)
This is a charcoal drawing.
To you all-thank you so much for the compliments. (I'm going to have to deflate my head now, LOL!)
OK, call me strange, but I think her collar bone and the hollow of her neck are fantastic. Came from Tee's blog. Read through and enjoyed yours.
